Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt says Quart'e Sapp remain on the team after Saturday's sideline incident. Per ESPN:
quote:

Pruitt had said Saturday after Tennessee's loss to Florida that he asked Sapp to leave the sideline after the linebacker refused a request to enter the game. Sapp tweeted Sunday, "I never was asked nor did I ever refuse to go into the game."

On Monday, Pruitt said he has since spoken with Sapp. Pruitt offered no details on the conversation but said "everybody makes mistakes" and "we're going to move on and we'll go from there."

So, who made the mistake? Sapp or Tennessee for hiring Pruitt?

The latter, but also Pruitt for falsely claiming the kid refused to enter the game.

Everybody knows that kids don't want playing time, and routinely turn it down when available.

Not a good look. You need to remove players like this.

IMO, the GA who lied about the situation should be the one dismissed from the program. I reckon he probably already has. Can any Vols confirm?

Somebody's tellin' a story. Proot or Sapp one ... and it looks like Sapp won the staredown. Proot is in trouble already - there is no denying that now.

Supposedly, the confrontation was with a GA.
