ESPN is reporting that Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp will formally interview for the open head-coaching job at South Carolina.

South Carolina officials have already had preliminary conversations with Muschamp concerning the Gamecocks' head coaching job, and he's scheduled to interview formally later this week, sources told ESPN.com
Muschamp compiled a 28-21 record over four seasons as the head coach at Florida before he was fired at the end of the 2014 season.

Others interviewing for the job are Oklahoma offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley and Gamecocks interim coach Shawn Elliott.

Haven't hit bottom yet, we still haven't contacted Butch Jones, there's a reason nobody else has either.

USC needs an up and coming coach. If Muschamp couldn't get an offense going with all that talent at Florida, then he'll fail miserably at USC with worse talent.

No, he won't be unemployed if Malzahn is fired next year. He'd have work the next day. I know you're just trolling though.

If Muschamp gets an offer, he'd better take advantage of it.

Otherwise, he'll be unemployed when Auburn fires Malzahn next season.
