Ole Miss senior Carson Otter went to see his Rebels play Texas this past weekend. When Otter was walking in downtown Austin around 2:00 AM Saturday, he exchanged words with a passing vehicle, then one of the vehicle’s occupants got out and punched Otter, who fell to the ground. An ambulance transported Otter to a nearby hospital where he is being treated for a brain injury. The case is under investigation. Otter’s mother, Sandy, posted this to her Facebook page on Sunday...
quote:

“Today Carson was able to breathe on his own for a few hours, still on a ventilator but showing great signs,”

In fairness to UT fans, if he was just out in downtown Austin it is not necessarily UTx fans that did the beatdown.

Never talk s--t on the road. You just have to let it go.
Hope he's ok and the idiot gets severe jail time.

People whine and complain about SEC fans b/c we're rude, too rowdy, immature, too drunk. But you don't hear about this stuff happening on the road in the SEC; maybe a piss balloon or two, but not a breathing machine level beatdown.

It was at the intersection of East 7th Street and Trinity Street. Eye witnesses said that the car the attacker was in was a silver 4 door Honda
