Nebraska QB Martinez Bashes The SEC
by Larry LeoJanuary 3, 2013
Following Nebraska’s 45–31 loss to Georgia in the Capital One Bowl on New Year’s Day, Cornhusker QB Taylor Martinez stuck with his pregame assessment that the Bulldogs were “just another typical Big Ten defense” and then some. Martinez said in a story for the Lincoln Journal Star...
quote:
“I think the Big Ten, talent-wise, is a lot better, and the defenses in the Big Ten are better than SEC defenses,” “This was supposed to be one of the top defenses in the SEC, and we pretty much did anything we wanted against them.”

Be nice, now. The guy's in a coma and can't be held responsible for what he says. On the other hand, maybe he wasn't at the game. Or maybe he can't do much readin', writin' or 'writhmatik. It does get complicated.

We don't normally do whatever we want to a defense, but when we do...
We lose.
We lose.

"we pretty much did anything we wanted against them" - Except score enough points.

The gimmick offense only works so much. Ask Oregon how that has turned out.
