Former LSU basketball star and current Celtics' forward Brandon Bass is finally learning how to swim at the Boys & Girls Club of Boston.
quote:

"Bass, who grew up in Baton Rouge, did not learn how to swim as a child. Neither did anyone else in his family. Now Bass is learning so he can feel safe with his son, Brandon Jr., who loves to swim. In 2009, Bass bought a vacation home on a lake that has a pool. Bass is taking lessons with 10 kids and helping promote a swimming program for inner-city youth."
Here's Brandon rocking the back float...

I think this is fantastic. Great lesson for his son and those kids that you are never too old to learn something new.

Good for you Brandon....way to be a "dad".

Have always liked this guy.
Amazing how he saw very limited success in Dallas, being seen more as a tertiary option than a backup or even starter, but then gets to Boston and KILLS it as a starter and a role model in the community.
