I read it as those 2 games combined came in 1st because it was split depending on the region you were and the rest were nationally televised.

That doesn't surprise me at all. Cal was up 31-7 before a furious Northwestern comeback fell short and they lost 31-24. People were flipping between FSU/OkSt and LSU/Wisconsin.
