University of South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier said there would be several transfers of Gamecocks seeking more playing time.

That process appears to have begun as defensive players Kaiwan Lewis, Mason Harris and Deon Green have announced they’re leaving the program.

The most interesting of the transfers is Lewis who started 10 games at linebacker in 2013. The Pleasantville, New Jersey resident finished the campaign with 54 stops, including four for loss. He also had two interceptions, forced a fumble and recovered one.
Lewis announced his transfer decision on Twitter:

Harris finished the 2014 campaign with seven tackles, including two for loss and a sack.

Green, who just completed his redshirt sophomore season, had four tackles in 2014.

Yeah, bc you see how upset SCar fans are over this. I trust Spurrier and if he felt like we would be fine without them, that's all I need to know. With the incoming recruits, these guys knew their playing time would be severely limited. Two have already graduated. Best of luck to them and I wish them nothing but the best.
