When other conferences start winning national championships then they can tell the SEC how to make it's schedule. Sound fair?

When the SEC had 10 teams, they played 7 conference games. Now they will have 16 teams and they only play 8. Completely ridiculous. They are correct that they should not play 9, because they should be playing 10.

I think the problem with 10 conference games is a situation where the league eats its own and gives less of a chance for playoff opportunities

I think more importantly, what are they going to do about preserving rivalry games as the conference expands?

I don’t think they care about that.

Or just leave the conference the way it is now. Maybe go back to having 12 teams.

I wonder if they've loaded up all the data and put it into AI and see if it might come up with something better than the humans?

I was for the 9 game until I read a piece on CBS yesterday stating what was said here. That extra loss plus all the extra playoff games would be punishing when we go to the 12 team playoff.

I think I'm in the 8 game model now but having only 1 permanent opponent sucks.

If the money was right, they would 100% move forward. Gotta love these lying university presidents.
