Steve Spurrier Throws Jab At Ohio State & Their Schedule
Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports
We're just a few days away from the 2015 college football season kicking off. Which gives South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier enough time to get in one final jab at Ohio State and their schedule while on Monday's Paul Finebaum show...
quote:

“Every now and then when I listen in to your show, I know the SEC fans are a little upset at Ohio State’s schedule and rightfully so to tell you the truth. But that’s just the way it is and how it works out for all of us.

“I remember several years ago, Texas A&M had four sorta gimme games outside the conference, then eight conference games. There’s four of us that have that in-state rivalry game with a team from another conference. … We’ve got a pretty tough schedule.”

2001&2002 .....2001 was a blowout. So they're batting 1000 against Ohiostate.

South Carolina has beat Ohio state at least twice . I'd have to check but I don't think Ohio state has ever beaten them

Why should we play an instate rival game with a team that belongs to another conference? The ACC is making tons of money off of the SEC. I'm for the SEC to play teams from other conferences. Texas no longer plays A&m and Baylor and TT no longer play the Aggies. LSU no longer playes Tulane. I think that the SEC would be better off by dropping these out of conference opponents and replace them with teams that they didn't play from the East or West. Drop Ga. Tech and I can bet that Georgia and LSU would be rivals. Look at the NFL teams with the Falcons and Saints.

It's a shame South Carolina can't win anything. Would love to see how they'd do against Ohio State.

A&M would have kept the rivalry game with t.u. except that t.u. claimed its schedule is booked until 2019. So screw them. #WRTS

And the conference change forced them to add a last-minute creampuff (due to the drop from 9 conference games to 8).
