Steve Spurrier and South Carolina Gamecocks will have co-defensive coordinators next season, according to CBS Sports.

Lorenzo Ward, who has been South Carolina's defensive coordinator for the last three seasons will be the run-game defensive coordinator and incoming defensive assistant Jon Hoke will be the passing-game defensive coordinator.
quote:

It's not the first time that South Carolina will have co-defensive coordinators under Steve Spurrier, as the Gamecocks tried the same thing during his first season in 2005. I'm sure he's hoping this second try works a lot better, as John Thompson -- who shared the duties with Tyrone Nix at the time -- was demoted during the season and did not return in 2006.

Not a good Ideal that school might have to fire both. Just saying. One could be the problem and the other knowing how to. Sad a HC cannot make up his mind.

Someone has to make the decision, how do you do that with two heads?
