Ross Dellenger with Yahoo Sports reports that discussions are taking place at the AFCA Convention in Charlotte this week on eliminating fake injuries during games.

Dellenger suggests that any injured player would need to be sidelined for the rest of the drive but that coaches could use a timeout to reinstate the player.

I agree with the premise but who is going to determine if it is a fake injury. I know the obvious ones where the QB points at a guy and he flops, but who determines if a cramp is legitimate?

If you do punish it should be a number of plays because some drives are real short. Others are 15 plays. Maybe out eight plays.
