Update: Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin said that he expects Isaiah Golden to be back with the team at some point. Per ESPN,
quote:

"He has withdrawn from school, and we expect him back this summer," Sumlin said.

Sumlin would not elaborate on the situation.

Original Story: Multiple sources are reporting that Texas A&M defensive tackle Isaiah Golden has withdrawn from the team for personal reasons.

Golden and linebacker Darian Claiborne were both arrested during an incident on campus last month. Golden was arrested for marijuana possession, and Claiborne for a noise violation.

Golden, a one time highly recruited player from Carthage, TX played in 12 games as a freshman, recording 32 total tackles, including three for a loss.

Speedy has arrived...and there goes the fall guy for the weed and alcohol in the car!lol

God speed in his recovery from any pain he is suffering from the loss of a child. Drinking and drug activity is not the way to learn to cope. He'll be better for taking this time away..prayers sent

Shoddy reporting. He has not left the team. He lost a child a few months ago and has been struggling, so he took the semester off to take care of things. He'll be back for summer school.

He really wanted that LSU offer. Makes you wonder how different his life would be if his dream school had offered. Sucks for the kid, its not his fault A&M is in College Station the absolute worst city in the US.
