The Georgia Bulldogs picked up a commitment from three-star tight end Garrett Walston from Wilmington, North Carolina on Tuesday.

Walston, 6-4, 220-pound prospect from New Hanover HS, is rated as the No. 17 tight end in the country and the No. 19 overall player from the state of North Carolina for the class of 2016, according to 247Sports.com.

The Bulldogs now have 12 commitments for the class of 2016 with Walston on board.

Did I not say "I'm sure he's not a bad player" but to say he's the top target seems like a little bit of a stretch.

We didn't offer Forristal and have felt good about Walston for some time. You act like a 3 star player is a bad player. Nauta commited to FSU and after that Walston became our top target.

Top target? Is it gambling if your going after the 19th best player in North Carolina? I'm not saying he's bad but I would have thought Georgia could have gotten a higher ranked player somewhere or the state of Georgia would have a better tight end.
