Dynamic 2017 four-star athlete Chadarius Townsend from Tanner, AL (Tanner Sch) committed to Alabama on Wednesday, according to his head coach Laron White. Per AL.com:
quote:

"He pretty much just came out with it today," White said. "He had committed back on June 2nd. He wanted to experience a few more things, go to a couple more schools without the public knowledge."

Townsend is a do-it-all player for the Rattlers, starring as a quarterback. White said Alabama projects at Townsend as a defensive back first and then possibly a receiver.
Townsend is rated the No. 20 athlete in the country and the No. 9 overall player from the state of Alabama, according to 247 Composite Rankings.

Alabama is now up to five commitments for the class of 2017.

I guess black boy baby names ending in -arious were a thing 18-20 years ago. Auburn has at least 3. Probably all SEC teams.
