South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier said that four-star defensive end Shameik Blackshear, who was arrested for larceny in February after signing with the Gamecocks, has been cleared of any wrongdoing. Per TheState.com:
quote:

“From what we understand, he was innocent all the way,” Spurrier said. “Unless something comes up differently. We had heard that they would drop the charges.

“As far as I know, he is clear to come with the rest of the team. He was falsely accused.”
