No hard feelings on how you left. I had more enjoyment and high points out of your three years here than the previous 28 combined. Good luck at PSU!!

Ya know, I almost posted a response earlier blasting Franklin based on the sabotage rumors. However, after a little time to relax, I am very thankful for what he did while he was here. He really kicked a stagnant fan base in the arse and gave us all something to be proud of and cheer for on the football field. He made it cool to wear Black and Gold. Thank you for that Coach Franklin. You really have made the last 3 years incredible and set us up to succeed moving forward.

I just hope the sabotage rumors aren't true. I would hate for such a memorable coach to have blackened his image on the way out the door.

Clearly the rumors are true.

Yep. Great 3 years. Shitty way to go out. frick it though. He may not have meant the shite he spewed, but it doesn't mean we can't do those things. Time to continue to build what he started, and we can't let him tear it down. Let's rove that he made the wrong choice. (Yes, I know I'm preaching to the choir.)

Four assistants and three recruits gone already. "Men of Honor" indeed.

I read This but it must be wrong because I thought Shoop had stayed.

Nope,CBS, NBC, and lots of other sports websites have Shoop as gone. I'm not sure what the source is, but it seems to be a unanimous opinion. It's disappointing, but it happens. Of all the assistants, I'm hoping Hand and Spencer stay the most. Those two guys are awesome, and the team loves them (or appears to anyway).

I would like to thank Ricky Rahne and Josh Gattis. Both have joined Franklin, but they were publicly supporting Vanderbilt until leaving their positions. I'm not sure what they did privately, but their contributions to this building project can't be ignored.

Jordan Matthews has been effusive in his praise of Gattis. Gattis's work with the "FlyBoyz" put together one of, if not the, best receiving corps Vanderbilt has had. Without Boyd making a very bad choice, the trio of Matthews, Krause, and Boyd would have been at the top of the list nationally.

Rahne also had his position performing at historical highs. Jordan Rodgers became a top 5 Vanderbilt QB in history in a season and a half. Austyn Carta-Samuels had performances to match even Cutler with only one year starting and less than half of it healthy.

As before, I just hope they weren't involved in poor ethics on the way out. Until proven guilty, they certainly deserve our thanks.

And another assistant has gone to join Franklin at PSU. Coach Sean "Chaos" Spencer has confirmed it via twitter. Outside of Franklin, he is the coach I am most disappointed about losing. He turned that front line into a formidable unit. He was also an incredible motivator. Spencer's pre-game speeches in the ReVealed series always got me amped up.
