Anyone else going to be at the game? I can't wait to see Matthews set the SEC receptions mark and have Vandy pick up back-to-back wins over UT. I don't think we will get the blowout we did last year, but the way our defense has been forcing turnovers makes me confidant that we will win. I expect something like 31-27 win with Vandy either scoring a late go-ahead TD or getting a big defensive stop/turnover to halt a UT drive late.

Tennessee will play us tough, I think, but we've been playing excellent football lately.

I can't make it. Did y'all know that companies think that just because they "pay" you and "own your soul," they can force you to adhere to "deadlines?" Who came up with this obviously flawed system?

Yes, I am keenly aware of this whole deadline situation. And I can't make it to Knoxville this time either.

That is quite the cynical system. It's very unfortunate. Honestly, I just hope a decent black and gold contingent shows up. Franklin talks about selling out our home games, but the commitment to travel for our team is what bowl selection committees really look at when it's deciding time.

True 'dat. I hope you have a great time over there, though it sounds like game conditions will not be ideal.

I mean, aside from the fact that Franklin obviously has people excited, it's Tennessee. It's a three hour drive for a night game. There's no reason, other than finals anxiety, which shouldn't be kicking in yet, plenty of students can't make that trip.

Agreed. My friends and I made that trip in 2007 and 2009. Though didn't thanksgiving break start? A lot of students probably have gone home.

Well, that was freaking freezing but 100% worth it! The terrible clock management somehow worked out as amazing clock management and 1-0 for the week. Anchor Down!

I didn't have any problems inside the stadium, actually. Had a few drive-by expletives and insults while setting up the Commodores tent for tailgating, but that was it. Maybe being with my father who is 6'4 and a pretty solid 280 wards off anyone wanting to start something.

No need to thank me though. It's a pleasure to be present for anything this new version of Vandy under James Franklin does.
