Who ya with?

There have already been so many names thrown around. But who does the Board want? I want Mason out of Stanford. His defenses would be a perfect fit with our guys. He's a great recruiter and keep things going here. I've also heard Morris, Hudspeth, and every name under the sun.

Not really sure. Mason seems like a solid, fairly guaranteed success hire. One name I like is Schiano. He did some really good things with Rutgers. Just not sure if he could do that in the SEC.

Hudspeth for me. Schiano is like my worst nightmare...

I agree on Schiano. I don't think his Jersey routine would work down here with Southern recruits. I don't like Hudspeth because the "University of Louisiana" is a stupid name.

The more I think about it, if we can't get Mason, I'm not sure if I wouldn't rather just see Hand promoted. All of the players seem to rally around him and Sean Spencer. Hand has also been at Vanderbilt for a while. He was the only assistant that Franklin retained when he arrived.

I think Morris would do a good job. He is who I wanted if Sumlin had left A&M.

How big of a deal is this? Seriously, we would never dreamed of snagging a BCS bowl winning coordinator before. Probably overly optimistic, but could we come out ahead in this deal?

Potentially huge. And I see no reason why not?

If Mason and staff can salvage a mid30s recruiting class, I'll stoked. It feels good to think a 40th ranked class would be a bad SALVAGE job. Before, that would have been great period.
