Grew up a die-hard Georgia fan in Baton Rouge, LA and got to go to my first game in Sanford Stadium last year when they beat the Tigers. Doesn't get much better. Was wondering how difficult it is to get tickets in Jacksonville the Saturday of the game when both teams are ranked and game is meaningful?

Can usually find them at the game for a decent price

Really depends. Last year we both sucked so I was able to snag one outside the stadium for $40. The year before I paid $120 for a student ticket. No way of telling how good both teams will be this early, especially when we haven't seen Florida play a game. My gut tells me both teams are going to be highly ranked going in to this game. Looks like they're going for around $200 on the low end. Definitely would wait it out.

Florida will certainly be improved over last year, but their schedule is pretty tough before their game with us. I see them losing two games between Bama, Tennessee, LSU and Mizzou (all games before WLOCP).

I see us entering highly ranked, and a two loss Florida team would probably be somewhere around the 20s ranking wise.

It'll be an expensive ticket. If I had to completely guess at a price on the street that day, I'll say you can buy an upper deck ticket in that scenario for around 100.

I've never had problems getting tickets. Only time they were out of my price range was that year we were both top 5 back in 2008 I believe.

Go to the game with a price in mind and don't panic early....if you don't get in the game the atmosphere outside is just as good......

good advice...the south end of the stadium has huge bigscreens to watch the game on...it is even sectioned off like the stadium is with dawgs on one side and gators on the other...i have tailgated and hung out over there several times when i didnt get in...Craigslist is a great place as well to get tickets ...the Jax one....about 3 weeks ahead of the game...or try the Gainesville CL if you really want to be in there...just beware of where you will be sitting...

eta: some thing i just thought about...those new screens at Everbank are like...amazing...seriously....depending on where you park and tailgate, one might could see a good bit of the game by watching those things...

To find tickets? Not difficult at all. Now, price is going to fluctuate wildly depending on the area you look (physically around the stadium and online) and how the teams are doing. You've gotta understand you'll be shopping two different fan bases, so go for whichever fan base is having the worse year.

The two times I made the trip without tickets, I was able to find a Georgia fan who sold them to us for face value. If you're not a jackass, most of the older UGA fans who have an extra ticket or two will sell them to you at face.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Florida will be much improved this year.

They could be way better and still lose four games this season. It's a tough schedule:

@ Bama
@ Tennessee
LSU
Mizzou
South Carolina
(Jax) Georgia
@ Florida State

I see them losing three of those games away from home, and one of the games at home. Then the question that arises: is 8-4 enough for Muschamp to keep his job?
