What's the scuttlebutt on Tyrique Stevenson?

24-7 has topics on him supposedly transferring to Miami. Not a member, so I can't read some of them, but what's the story?

As for cornerback, a source briefed on the situation said the Hurricanes would love to snag Georgia and former Miami Southridge cornerback Tyrique Stevenson.
The one problem: He played for the Bulldogs in their bowl game on Friday and there’s no indication if he wants to transfer to UM or anywhere.
Stevenson — rated the sixth best cornerback and 35th best player in the nation in the 2019 class — has played in 19 games for the Bulldogs over the past two years and has no interceptions, one sack and 10 passes defensed.
Stevenson — who started three regular-season games in 2019 — made a huge play late in Georgia’s comeback bowl win against Cincinnati in Atlanta on Friday, deflecting a Bearcats pass on 3rd and 2.
“Probably was the play of the game. If they complete that, we don’t have a chance to win,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. “Did a heck of a job.”

So basically they’re just making it up out of thin air because he’s a local product.

Might have been some talks with his family. And his family might be interested in him being at home.
None of that has anything to do with 7.

Tyrique's mom is the only family member involved with his football decisions. During his recruitment she trained with him and was the only one there for his commitment. She knows Kirby is the best coach to prepare him for the NFL in his final college season.
And how did he know that ball was in the air without looking?

Proverbial 'blind luck.' Even more luck that Ridder didn't throw to the other wide open WR who would have scored.

The way I saw it, Stevenson covered 2 targets effectively.

Most of our DBs are well trained on the receivers hands.
I remember about a decade ago how hard we worked our receivers to flash their hands as late as possible. Thinking of it, I hadnt heard much from the wr coaching lately.
Ridder accepted fault for floating the ball. But the receiver could have flashed his hands later (or even come back through the defender on the floater as Stevenson was crashing down so hard)

Is it just me, or did Ridder seem like a big pussy running the ball after running his pie hole about the game all week? Looked like Matt Ryan going down like a darted Rhino on Wild Kingdom when pressured.

He watched the receiver and as soon as he reached for the ball Tyrique got his hands up. His seeing the open guy and closing on him was outstanding. Play of the game, until the FG.

Play of the game,
You are not wrong.
But in a game like that, there are about 20 plays of the game (just the play before when dean ran down that reception towards the sideline to prevent the first down.... damn)
