EITHER THROW TO PICKENS OR PUT ANOTHER RECEIVER ON THE FIELD YOU ARE WILLING TO THROW TO. USING HIM AS A DECOY IS POINTLESS AND A WASTE OF PERSONELL

Yeah, but that has worked so well against Bama in the past.
TBH it makes me mad anytime Kirby takes his foot off the gas. You lose all momentum, timing and energy. Everything that could happen, does. Had Michigan been as good as Bama they would have come back and beat us in the second half, because we offensively we literally came to a standstill.

I disagree. For the first time in forever Bama isn't as talented as UGA. I'd argue that QB is the only position where they're more talented. Maybe WR. I do believe that coaching cost us that game though. Our own head coach shite the bed!

But if you look at the '20 game that's not what happened. We were running the ball pretty effectively in the 1st and had the lead.

We came out throwing the ball a lot
in the 3rd qtr and got too aggressive IMO.

Get Pickens the ball. Get Cook in space. Give Burton a couple deep shots. Give Bowers 7+ targets

Yep- assuming there are no medical limitations, let it rip. This is one area JT (I'm making assumptions here) excelled vs. SBIV. JT made it clear if Pickens had a 1v1 matchup he was getting the ball regardless of what play was called.

Does it feel like sometimes we’re almost doing too much and tricking ourselves? Thinking that Saban is going to make adjustments coming out of the half so we have to make some adjustments too. I don’t feel like in any game we’ve played against them where we’ve gotten out to a lead we continued to run the same plays after halftime. Whether it’s going to the run or abandoning it, you almost want to say hey this is working let’s keep doing it until they can stop us.

This is a great point and is true for all sports. When teams in any sport have a big lead, freeze the ball, lose big lead- it is virtually impossible to regain momentum. The pressure of losing the lead, the pucker factor, the momentum the other side has- it's just a bad recipe.

Seems to me if you're good enough to build a 20 point lead why stop doing what your doing?? Go ahead and win by 40! Same can be said for the D- how many times have we seen a D give up 10-14 points, go into prevent, and get torched? If your D plan is working why change?

I did not read through the thread and it's possible that this has already been mentioned.

I would prioritize getting the ball to 0. A lot of focus will be on Brock. Get 0 the ball!
