The perfect 1980’s song. The best one at least. None of the others spark nostalgia as much as this one does somehow

This is my favorite 80's song...
ETA- Mike from BB and BCS featured in this video multiple times. He was Victor Maitlin's head henchman.

The Cure had the best mix of lyrics and music that I’ve ever heard. Their shite touched on another plane.
If only I’ve thought of the right words….i could’ve held on to your heart….

Todd Snider died over the weekend at the age of 59 from some apparent complications from pneumonia and some other weird backstory about a fight after a show in Utah.
This was always my favorite song of his, came out at the peak of the Seattle Grunge obsession. He makes fun of it in his folk style. There's a reference to Athens at the end.

I told my newbie young dead fan neighbor "Sundays are for Jerry Band". It just works. I love hearing it play from his house every Sunday now.
Not sure where you live but there is a dude named Zach Nugent. He's from northeast but he's the best living JGB cover dude I have seen. If you get a chance to catch his band you will be glad.

Damn. Once you focus on the high hat, it's impossible to listen to anything else in the song. I feel like a German Shepard guarding my home but the burgler brought a tennis ball.

That shits going over my head. Why are you guarding your own home from a dog’s viewpoint

Dogsitting my neighbor's German Shepard. Just a random reference. Don't read too much into it. I'm sorry for the reference that is slightly above dull.
ETA- he's a huge GT fan by the way

I wanted to play Tool because it’s genius, but here is a simpler version of Tool followed by Tool.
