Good analysis by Hutson Mason.
Bottom line: stuff happens

I feel somewhat better about the play-calling after watching Hutson's video but not about our receivers and blocking. Also, on that first interception, Jake should have known that he would be hard pressed to get the pass to the sidelines so he should have cut the angle of the pass more to the sidelines to insure that the pass made it out of bounds. You just can't throw the ball up in that situation hoping your receiver can win the battle especially with young inexperienced receivers.

Our receivers definitely need to do a better job of coming back to the QB to create a better target and to prevent defenders from making a break on the pass. Simmons needs to concentrate on looking the ball into his hands, otherwise, he needs to be replaced. Every receiver misses some passes but you can't let the ball go through your hands with a defender right behind you. It's sort like playing the field in baseball; you need to at least keep the ball in front of you even if you can't make a clean catch.

He should have just eaten it and taken the sack.

Jake could have sidestepped that rushing defender and moved up in the pocket. Back peddling was the wrong move.

Watch again. He had zero time to do anything once Kinlaw was on his face.Much easier said than done.

Hutson thinks he was trying to throw the ball away and he obviously got nothing on it.Huge mistake by Wilson whiffing on Kinlaw.

Look again. In one of the stills Marcus showed the rusher was on his right foot and could only move to his left. Fromm had time to jump one foot to the rusher's right and move up. Retreating in the direction of the rush was never going to work.

Look at the video I posted. It shows the play from 2 different angles with a MUCH better analysis from someone who watched the entire game.

Nope not at all.He wasn't even looking in that direction until Kinlaw was on him.Moving up in the pocket wasn't an option.

Once again,Hutson does a far better job of breaking down the play than Marcus.
