Bennett has 4 TD's so this could be a game changer but I'm thinking someone else picks up the slack. I like Bennett but he did have a couple of drops in a row (can't remember which game) that surprised me so no one is indispensable. We have enough receivers to compensate and hopefully they can make some big plays; we are going to need it because I have a feeling the running game is going to be tough sledding. Gooooooo Dawgs!!

I've heard that Bennett is injured too but the extent is unknown.

I agree, we are pretty deep at receiver. I look for Wooten to slide to the slot and for Marlon Brown to get more looks his way if Bennett is in fact out this weekend.

It's somewhat understandable since there is a lot of misinformation on the internet but when you have 2 sources, the OP and your insider info, it becomes obvious that something happened. I mean why would someone make up a story like this? I guess the injury could turn out to be less serious than reported but that could be a incorrect diagnosis by a team doctor. Regardless, I sure hope Bennett has a swift recovery because we are going to miss is combination of size, speed and reliability as the season progresses.

If true...this is a devastating loss. Bennette is our best possession receiver and team leader imo. Only at UGA would a star receiver get hurt in practice, in a non-contact drill, before a massive game.

Dayum, you were right.
Hate to lose Bennett - he had great hand, explosive speed & was a mismatch when they tried to cover him with a LB.

Fortunately we have a lot of depth at WR. Hopefully we utilize a lot more of Jay Rome and Arthur Lynch.
Sucks for Bennett though. It looked like he was becoming Murray's favorite target. I know Bennett is already redshirted but could he petition for an extra year?

Maybe this will open up the door to use our TEs more? Wondering why we haven't used them more as Orson, Leonard Pope, etc were favorite targets in the past.

Probably not. Need those men, escpecially Lynch, to help block those two DE's for USCe.
