Absolutely no benefit except to the losers in the Big10 who don't schedule those games. Also Tulane and whoever that other shite team that got in.
Have you guys seen the folks that make up the playoff committee? Its a fricking embarrassment, they shouldn't be on the board of a 7/11.

Now there are reports that Clemson 29-30 home and home is being negotiated to a 1 game neutral site.

The new Dome is 25 minutes from my house on a Saturday or Sunday.... 1.5. hours during rush hour haha. At least it's close for me for a change.

Zero point in having season tickets anymore.
Paying $3000 a home game, half of which are cupcakes and I barely know who’s on the team anymore. Good games end up being on neutral sites.

I'm sure it's all about the $. UGA fans really have. good time in Nashville from our days playing Vandy every other year. I had a good time. The hotel rates are insane for those kind of game weekends. I remember the cheapest hotel was 400 in Nashville. We ended up staying in Murfreesboro.

I think I’m done going to games in general. The soul has left the sport. Might as well have my own couch and bathroom.

Yah, the soul has kind of been zapped. I just go to 1 or 2 games a year; like a mid-tier SEC game like Vandy or Kentucky. College football is like the NFL without a salary cap now.

Young people are weird and they don't like normal things. Whatever new iteration of football that exists 30 years from now will probably resemble an an EA Sports NCAA game which teenagers will probably eat up with a spoon and not get enough of.

because everyone that's against it, which is pretty much all of America taht actually watches the sport, don't make the decisions. TV money and league bosses make the decisions and the only only only only only thing they care about is money. Literally nothing else. If CFB morphs into a 2-conference super structure with 30+ teams in each one and we play half our games at neutral sites before going to a 28 team playoff that's what they'll vote for, as long as it keeps the money rolling in.

that's a grim outlook. I think the schools will gain more power if the season ticket sales start to drop. I think so far there are enough gen-x alumni that are buying into season tickets. If the overall alumni support and season ticket season revenue starts to fall the schools may push for more things to make the fans happy. A big thing that makes college football great are the regional rivalries.
