The gators will come out and play with their hair on fire (they have absolutely nothing to lose), and UGA will continue it's stumbling, bumbling effort until sometime in the second half. It's their identity. Now, when they do decide to start playing, will it be soon enough?
I want UGA to win badly but, I could see this one getting away from them.
I guess we'll see on Saturday.

I also feel an upset coming. But one thing I won't do is start a thread saying nanny nanny boo boo, I told you so! Because I'm not an insufferable cvnt.

You predict us to lose almost every game.
Who is them?
Who is your team?

This same exact thing could be said about us against Florida probably a dozen times the last 40 years, with many of those ending up with us getting our arse kicked because Florida was simply the much better football team. Just like we are the better team this year.

Down 14 before coming back and winning 35 to 17. weirdness continues

I've known plenty of pessimistic/realistic people. I'm sure I fall into pessimistic category myself. But I find it hard to imagine why anyone would be almost constantly negative for years on end about their diversions or pastimes, things that don't even affect them personally, and loudly display that negativity on a regular basis to people who actually enjoy the pastime.
That degree of pessimism, especially about a team with as much historical and recent success as Georgia, feels like a personal problem or an ulterior motive. Down seasons are part of the game and championships are rare. Seasons like 2021 and 2022 are very rare, but we have people demanding a repeat performance every season, as if a Nick Saban style dynasty was the baseline expectation. In the current era of college football, you need an extreme budget to get to the very top, and more to stay there. Pessimism is one thing, but constantly broadcasting one's unmet (unrealistic) expections of a sports team is obnoxious.

gulfportdawg is like 80 years old, he's scarred from being a devout UGA fan for a long period of time before 2021 happened.

I'm getting on up myself, but I''m finding the game outcomes less important as time goes by. The championships were fun, but it's also nice to pull for a team without taking the failures personally.

gulfport dawg bio- been here since 2012 and only has 700 posts, so he's not constantly doing negadawg shitposts and if an alter, he's a very patient one. Leave him alone.
I didn't think he's an alter, not prolific enough. But he and some of the others here are pretty sharp about their dislike of "disney dawgs". I figure turnabout's fair play. I don't consider myself a disney dawg, but I'd rather have more of them around than the alternative. Rooting and hoping for your team's success is what defines a fan. It also makes a message board more enjoyable. Maybe I didn't always realize that, but I do now.

We are one or two assistant coaching hires away and one or two true freshmen getting more playing time away from winning every game 65-7. Football perfection is out there. Kirby just needs to get off his arse and figure it out.
...We also have a few serial upvoters for every time there's a post predicting that we'll lose. Who the hell would see a post predicting we'll lose, think "you know what, I like that" and take the time to upvote. That's not being Munson-like. That's being a frigging emotionally unintelligent goofball.

The funny part is that Kirby figured it out in the preseason while the fans were still clueless. Most inexperienced group he's every had and he wasn't confident they were ready to play. There's still a ton of talent that hasn't been obvious because they're still working hard to get the execution up to par. Both coordinators have a big task calling games that the players can execute.

I enjoyed reading other team boards during 21 and 22. Our rivals were were grasping at straws for signs predicting Georgia's downfall. It was amazing how many were in complete denial that Stetson Bennett was a very good college quarterback. They'd go over to the 247 board and heavily upvote every negative post, and there were plenty of those.

We are getting own tDecline on The Rant now. The old Alabama treatment. It's flattering and I seat that shite up.

My guess would be they come out blazing to prove something but we beat them in submission.
Of course they’ll score on the first possession.
UGA 35-17

For the first time in years, I haven't watched a single minute of Florida football, so I'll just wait and see what happens. I have looked at their stats and those suggest that wildly inconsistent QB play might be their biggest problem. I hope Lagway doesn't flip the switch again and have a decent day like he did against Texas. Like everyone else, at least once this season I'd like to see a 2022 style arse kicking.
Read this byChatterboxOftheSEC on the rant. I'm not sure what to make of that poster, but this is pretty good.
Hoover, Alabama.
A place where the traffic is eternal, the khakis are pleated, and the football opinions are forged in the fires of 7-on-7 delusion.
Every gas station is a recruiting war room.
Every dad thinks he invented Cover 2.
Every teen is a future 3-star until he transfers to Thompson.
But worse than Hoover itself…
Worse than the endless “my son’s Hudl tape” conversations…
Are the Alabama fans who pretend to be Ole Miss fans online.

You are extra judgy these days. Think about all the time you just spent to type all that out vs someone taking the time to click one button. And by someone, I mean like one anonymous person clicked an arrow that made you feel bad and and you have thoughts and opinions about that button click. I hate using cliche's, but touch grass man.

The responses are within 30 seconds of the post "he" is responding to, with all that level of creativity and detail. I'm pretty sure I have it figured out, but it's definitely AI.
