nadawg...you have posted 46 times in a year on a site called th RANT, and have no clue about my history of posting outside the last few games. I have no doubt you will now try and waste your time digging through my posts to find the one off examples that support your theory, but you can go frick yourself. I played football at UGA, graduated from Terry in 2005 and have been a die hard fan since throwing my allegiance to UGA in 2000 when I committed.
Just because I “RANT” on here sometimes about facts and truths, doesn’t do shite for your pathetic argument. Either man up and post more or go back to lurking like the sidewalk bitch you seem to be.
/end Rant because, well, this is the Rant

No, but loved to listen to him when he used to jam out on the guitar before practice sitting on the black leather couches in the open TV area in the locker room. He could kick it a mile but was also funny as shite.

Word. I was actually thinking you might be a different Billy but he may have been more like 06-07. Bassist, not guitar. IT/IS guy.

Hey man no disrespect.... I got a little out of line. Glad to see there are some passionate basketball fans still out there. Since you played football at UGA and graduated in 05 then you might support my claim that Richt despite being canned by Georgia is one of the best coaches in the nation. Seems some others on this board didn’t seem to think so. Don’t know what coach they were watching.

Nothing I would love more than for Yante to showcase himself tomorrow, and throughout the rest of this tournament.

I’m pretty excited about the future of this program, regardless of who the coach is.
There is no replacing Yante but Juwan and Pape are easily replaceable.
We have a 4-Star forward who is very underrated coming in that will replace Nic Claxtons role. Claxton should have a much bigger role offensively next year. Basically, you can count him as an upgrade Fromm Pape Diatta.
A 3-Star SF who will take Juwan Parker’s place. Kid is very similar to Teshaun Hightower, IMO. Comparison is coming from the fact that both are extremely athletic but will not have a huge impact his first year but has a ton of potential. I say he will take Juwan’s spot because he is much quicker and more explosive than Parker.
It will be interesting to see if Jordan Harris stays and if so he can ge develop into the player he should be. This year he seemed to lack buy-in all together.
I think the big key will be if we are able to get Ashton Hagans back and what that will do to our rotation. Somebody will be the odd man out and it will most likely be Crump or Harris.
Maybe Isaac Kante will develop or maybe we can get a front court Grad transfer to help replace Yante. I expect Mike Edwards to transfer and potentially open up another spot.

Point being, the overall roster should be improved again despite losing Yante. Y’all bad we couldn’t get more of this talent earlier in his career.
Personally, I think we should target a white guard that can drain the three consistently.

You know Billy the former walk on bassist?

I was thinking of Billy Bennett, our kicker. Went through some crazy shite after UGA. Got involved with bad things. Last I heard he corrected that.
PS - he was the kicker in “We Are Marshall”

Passionate about UGA in every sport. I actually grew up an Auburn fan (sorry, whole family went there). Richt was an awesome MAN, and couldn’t ask for a greater person. He absolutely wanted to win and is a top coach in the country. Just my opinion, he didn’t have the IT factor to push him to greatness and winning mentality year in and year out. He did “do it the right way” but that’s not what we need.....
But he is one of the greatest men I’ve ever known from a gentleman, to Christian, to caring person, outside of my family. Truly a pleasure to have known him. His care for people of need and his family was inspiring and doesn’t surprise me anything he has and does with the community. He is a DGD and as much as I hate Miami, I will root for him in all he does.

Agreed. Georgia ran a risk with Smart and I’m glad it worked out but I would say lately, programs that do the same thing with firing coaches that were pretty solid in hopes of turning their program into natty contenders have struck out more times than not. He will keep Miami relevant as he already had them playing in the conference title in year 2. Has a top 5 recruiting class in a division that will be winnable every season. He’s not going anywhere.

I don’t think it will take the auto bid to get in. If they make it to Sunday, it would mean 2 more Q1 wins and that would put them at 7. Also gets them to 20 wins. I feel that would be enough. Man I want to beat Kentucky so bad. We are so overdue to beat them

Examples? Uga is 2 for its last 2.

Maybe.... but I don’t consider Fox a pretty solid coach...2 tournament appearances in 9 years and no wins in the dance....just saying. 68 teams make it every year....

I was talking about Coach Richt in this particular instance. As far as Fox goes, I know I’ve been drinking the Fox Gatorade a lot,but it is frustrating what the NCAA tourney record has been under his watch.

I just don't see how anyone could still be left doing that at this point. And I was even still in his camp as recently as last year! But at this point it blows me away that anyone could try to present any logical, rational argument for why he needs to return for season 10.

There’s always those fans who just hold out hope for a guy cause they like him....It’s tough, but I want to be making the tournament every year or atleast every other year or something....that just ain’t happening. And before you make some excuse about not being a b-ball school....look at Auburn and Tennessee!
