Definitely a great season considering the expectations coming it. I’m guessing Wes will get us where we need to be pitching-wise and we will be right back at it over the next couple years

Go Dawgs!

great season. disappointing game last night that was really just a microcosm of the year in games we lost, it seemed.

couple fielding "mistakes" (they made a big catch at the wall to save 2 runs, we missed our big catch at the wall in a very similar play), gave the momentum right back to them immediately every time we scored, got nothing from 1-4 in the lineup, and let up a billion hits.

pitching just wasn't there, which sucks in what will quite probably be the best offensive season we will ever have.

honestly, if florida didnt make the CWS, i wouldnt feel too bad about this, but that is pissing me off so much

Except of course for when we’ve won two natties in the past 3 years and the Brave won a World Series 3 season ago.

The last couple seasons in football may disagree, but beyond that I kinda see your point.

Prepare yourselves:

Foley is going all turf next season. No more natural grass/dirt

Outside of football, remind me the last time any of our programs won a national title.

Completely agree. I understand if some rec parks and HS do it in the infield for cost savings on maintenance and playability, but should never be allowed in the college game and up

It's an abomination and epidemic across America.

Zero reason a team in the south, especially with a turf program like UGA has, should have fricking field turf.

Not only is it lazy but it's also terrible for player health. There are studies that link exposure to the rubber/microplastics pellets to increase in cancers, plus the obvious increase risk of knee and joint injuries.

There's a reason the European soccer leagues don't use it and the NLFPA are trying to get natural turf back in all the NFL stadiums.

Terrible news honestly and super disappointed this was allowed to be approved.
