The zone read is such a trash playcall for us, especially since we’ve now watched Burrow, Herbert, Tua, Fields, and Lawrence all actually keep it and run for success

Well we know how this is gonna go good predictable play calling coley

Doesn't matter; the throw was less than 10 yards. Just throw the damn ball in the receiver's gut for crying out loud.

In this case the receiver was open though. Bad throw

It's just hard to understand how Fromm (any QB) can throw way too high like that to a tall receiver like Pickens on a throw that was less than 10 yards
I'd need to watch it again but if Pickins cut his route short, it would have resulted in a high throw.

That's the play I want us to run. Off tackle with the pulling lineman leading the way

I think it's time to retire the Fromm zone read from the playbook.

Fromms accuracy this year compared to his first two seasons is one the more baffling things to watch. No mention of an injury or anything. You expect a qb like that to improve not regress.

Coley addressed this a few days ago. Receivers have been trash running their routes and throws off his timing and accuracy. Cager runs great routes which is why Fromm was so accurate (70%+) throwing to him vs. everyone else.
