I don’t know any nice way to say it and I don’t mean it as criticism on anyone. But we live or die by one receiver. Is it our progressions? I see open WRs, but it is always the 4th or 5th option. I dont know, but this is frustrating

Fromm gets way too much credit for his progressions. I actually think hes quite average at it.

Nope, you’re right. It’s all Cager or nothing.

Well we’ll see if that holds true because i doubt Cager comes back in. He looked like he was hurting.

Bingo. I love Fromm but idk where the whole he’s a genius football savant thing comes from. There are plenty of guys who understand reads and alignments pre snap. It’s after the snap that counts and at that point he’s just pretty good. Not great or elite. Playcalling etc doesn’t improve matters much.

Could it be he gets praised because he does exactly what coaches want, but our coaches are instructing him to do counter-productive things?
