With the site merger, we should have an introductory thread. A shite ton of retards/decent posters mixed in here, and I (others as well) would like to know the history of everyone. You know... To see who we should take seriously.

Who are you?

Why are you a fan?

Did you go to UGA?

Degree if any?

Go.

My name is Chris. I'm a fan be because I was born in Athens, in 1980. It would be sacrilage if I was a fan of anyone else. I have a degree, but not from UGA. I went to school at Valdosta State. It's hard to beat a scholorship versus out of state tuition plus trying to walk on at Georgia (I moved to north Florida in 1992). Going to a different university may bother some of you, but I am, and will always be a dawg. And just to be clear, I did have offers to GT and GSU. The shear hatred for those schools made my decision a lot easier!

I'll play.

Born and raised in Sandersville, GA. Been a huge UGA fan my whole life. Family moved to south TN due to almost my whole family living there and dad finally got a job there and whatnot. Went to middle school, high school, and am currently in school studying Business Management and Marketing in TN.

Would have went to UGA if out of state tuition wasn't a shite ton. Wasn't smart enough to get that paid for.

Nope

From LSU, yes.

Having said that, during my banland time from here, I found a great little place called Dawgrant and now I root for UGA.

Like I said UGA, 'This is your time!!! Now, Go out there and take it!!!!!!"

Dad was a trainer for the football and baseball teams in the 80's, Grandpa was a frat brother with Fran Tarkenton, Mom went to UGA, Grandma went and worked in the Administration offices for a time. And, now, my fiancee is a UGA alumna.

I, however, did not attend UGA. Had the opportunity to, but I've spent my whole life going to games in Athens (family has had season tickets since the 300 level was built) and the route I wanted to take was and has turned out to be much better at a different university.

I now have a Bachelors and a Masters and in a few years I should be working on a Phd through Ga State. Yet, I still hold on to hope that one day I might have the time and money to fit in another Master's degree, this time from UGA. Won't say it doesn't gnaw at me that the school and town I love so much has no record of me ever attending. But that just seems to make sense in a weird sort of way. I think it would have ruined our relationship, me and UGA, if we were to ever have been that close.

Drega06 or 60agerd

Born and raised in Knoxville, TN. Became a fan on my own freewill. My family doesn't follow college football too much (more NFL fans), but if they had a favorite team it would be Tennessee. Still in college and plan on attending UGA...hopefully. Even though I could have gone and still can go to UT to graduate, the Dawg in me just won't let me go there. Plans are to hopefully move to GA soon so I don't have to pay that outrageous out of state tuition.

I am a 2 year single-seat season ticket holder and make the 4 hour drive to Athens for every big home game. I would like to make it to all of them, but I'm not driving 4 hours one way to watch one half of football against a Buffalo or GA Southern.

You mean WWTDD? Nope, not nearly enough time in my life to run as well put together a website as that. But if people want to think that I do, I'm not going to go out of my way all that often to correct them

I am the Firewind. I have ALWAYS loved the UGA Bulldogs! I did not go to UGA, I chose a different path, and went to ABAC in Tifton Ga, to pursue a career in ag education, with plans on finishing at UGA , to be , you guessed it, an ag teacher in high school. Well, after ABAC, I made the biggest mistake of my life and moved to Knoxville Tennessee, after meeting a girl from there, got married and went to school there for a little while, but can not stand the orange and white. I decided against the ag teacher career, and went the business/management route. Most importantly, I love, love, love UGA and Ga football. My kids all want to go there, and look forward to that. Ask anyone on here, I am as Disney as they come, and am optimistic to the nth degree, but that's me, I live and love UGA football. In 2010, I remarried, and snagged a UF Gator alumni, and love giving it back about UGA busting it down on them for two years in a row! Go Dawgs!!!

Im saturdayinAthens from the dawgrant, just signed up here recently because I finally felt I had something to say.
Been a fan since I can remember, love Athens, and almost everything about it. There's nothing like a Saturday in Athens.
I don't go, and have never gone to UGA, out of high school my grades werent good enough, so I attended another college, and once I settled in there, I decided to stay put.
Come may, I plan on having my degree in marketing.
