You had an entire year to fix it after dumbass left, and you didn't get it done.

Monken is not the answer that guy is dumb as a rock for abandoning the run game after the first play of the game.

frick Monken, he was Mayfield's jock fluffed last year and hasn't done shite at a real program or franchise.

You saw all those open WRs and you think this is on Monken? Newman screwed us over plain and simple.

Again. They said he could throw the ball in a window. I’d take someone who could throw the ball in a garage at this point.

The fact that we were relying on a transfer from Wake is a problem. Clemson's backup QB just threw a perfect 50+ yard TD pass. He would have started for us last year as a senior in high school.

True, but that’s on Kirby, not Monken.

I agree. Monken called several touchdown plays today and we missed almost all of them. I blame Kirby for chasing off good QBs.

This. All day long. Alabama and other top programs don't rely on graduate transfers. They have top talent waiting for their time. Not sure if it was the Fields episode or what but it is completely unacceptable that we are in a position where Stetson is starting for the Dawgs.

Out of all of the guys to place the blame on for this season thus far, Monken just isn't the guy. No OC is ever perfect, but I think he is a huge improvement over Coley (and Chaney, for that matter). He just doesn't have much to work with at QB.

It's such misplaced frustration.

LSU won with a transfer.

And we don't have a track record like Alabama where they can keep a stable full of 5*'s on the bench. We had a 5* backup and he got impatient and left, leaving us in the lurch. We weren't able to get a comparable replacement so we had to get a really good grad transfer who then left us in the lurch.

They also have a coach who has proven that he will put shitty QBs on the bench. We have a coach who has proven that he will ride shitty QBs for way too long.

Blind squirrel meet nut. A broken clock is right twice a day. The point isnt that it may or may not work. The point is that it shouldn't come to the point where that is the only option for the team to field a competitive QB.

You keep harping on this like you're comparing apples to apples. You aren't.

Saban gets 5* QBs to agree to sit on the bench because they know that they have a great shot at winning the national championship each and every year. We don't have that track record.

I agree but we aren't in a position to have elite talent 3 and 4 players deep at the QB position. We may have one or two at a time and if one of them goes, we run thin. That's the position we're in now.

We should have a QB on the bench that can execute the offense and hit wide open receivers. To not have that is just unacceptable. It's not like I am expecting a heisman candidate to be sitting on the bench.

Trevor Lawrence got KungFlu, and Clemson brought a QB off the bench who would have started for us every year since 2013.

He’s also the guy who thinks Dilfer was a better qb than Marino, Matt Ryan, and Dan Fouts
