ou claim there is NO precedent for a 1-loss conference championship loser to get into the postseason and then proceed to bring up in every post how Notre Dame got in despite being in literally the exact same position just last year.
why don't you try reading again. I said ND is the only team that has gotten in under this scenario, but the only team they were competing against for the 4th spot was another 1-loss team that didn't win its division. A biiiiit different than our situation would be.

You’re discrediting any precedents that might favor UGA getting in as invalid and using any examples that favor UGA being left out as “hard facts”. That’s a pessimist spin, plain and simple.
Facts are facts man, you can spin them and contort them to fit any narrative you choose. I'm simply pointing out the indisputable, inarguable facts that are known.

I would agree UGA isn’t a guaranteed lock if we lose.
We would have the “best” loss of any team in contention.
Cincinnati would be the only undefeated in contention.
In:
Bama
OSU/Mich (have to beat Wisky)
Cincinnati (still has Houston)
Contention:
UGA
1 loss OK State as conf champ (their loss is not that bad..Iowa State)
1 loss OU as a conf champ.
1 loss ND (with one less win, no conf championship and home loss).
Mich/OSU loser - Loser would have two losses
Baylor as a conf champ w 2 losses?

One thing in our favor is that the committee very clearly does not respect the Big 12.
Also, the media narrative is hugely in our favor.

The only legitimate argument would be a 1 loss OK State or OU.

It’s going to be:
GA
OSU
OU
Cincy
Then:
GA
OSU
Finally:
GA

This thread is hilarious.
Georgia wins this week and they are in unless they lose by 4 touchdowns against Alabama. Sometimes I'm embarrassed for some of our fan's knowledge of the strength of teams and the actions of the playoff committee. I really don't know how many times I have to say this. The committee openly said they almost put a two-loss Georgia team in over Big 12 champion Oklahoma two years ago. The committee knows the SEC is by far and away a better, deeper league then the Big 12. The ACC and PAC are eliminated completely . This is what the rankings will look like Tuesday:
1. Georgia
2. Ohio State/Alabama
3. Ohio State/Alabama
4. Cincinnati
5. Michigan
6. Notre Dame
7. Oklahoma State
These are the only teams left with a chance, and Oklahoma State is very marginal, and I don't think they will beat Oklahoma twice anyways. Ohio State will also win the Big 10.
If Georgia wins the SEC:
1. Georgia
2. Ohio State
3. Cincinnati
4. Notre Dame
If Georgia loses SEC:
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Georgia
4. Cincinnati
Georgia won't even fall to fourth with a loss on a neutral site to the #2 or #3 team.

This is incredibly ironic, considering I post an annual thread on every decision the committee has made and people still don't seem to realize how the committee operates.

Yeah, "ALMOST" If you believe that let me tell you about the 80 million votes joe biden received last year. The committee can give all the lip service they want to try to placate the losers that didn't make the playoffs, it's irrelevant, the only thing that matters is what they have ACTUALLY DONE. We didn't "almost make it" 2 years ago. We had 2 losses, including to a shittastic SC. We didn't "almost make it" in 2018 as a 2 loss non-champion, regardless of whatever pleading kirk herbstreit faked on tv for you. Facts are facts. Decisions are decsisions. This isn't some guessing game; we literally have the data directly in front of us.
And as another point for those thiking this is some "woe is uga" type of situation, I felt the same way about bama in 2018. Everyone in the world was saying "bama is in no matter what" but I was the ONLY person convinced that if we had beaten them they would have dropped out, considering they'd be a 1-loss non-champion compared to OU who was a 1-loss P5 champion. Granted..there's no way to prove if that'd be true or not, I'm just saying that the same things I'm saying today I was also saying 3 years ago in refernce to another team too.

I am going by factual data. Actual black and white results that have happened, in real life, for us to see.
Thing is, the committee doesn’t always use factual data and what the results have been. They look smart now but having Michigan State behind Michigan right after having beaten them head to head was going against the black and white results.

We’re a lock if we beat GT.
If our 1 loss is to Bama, that’s not going to put Bama in and not us. Their 1 loss is to a much worse team.
If Bama loses to us and/or Auburn, they’re out.
Here’s what I think are the options.
We’re either #1 (win SECCG) or #3 (lose SECCG).
Bama is either #1 (win SECCG) or out (lose SECCG)
OSU beats Michigan and gets #2
Cincy gets #3 if we win out, or #4 if Bama beats us.
ND gets #4 if Bama loses either of next 2 games. Their only loss would be to Cincy, which is better than OK or OKst.
I suspect UGA will play ND, and OSU will play Cincy. And then UGA vs OSU in Championship game.
