I think Grantham is going to line up Atkins as a middle linebacker with Vasser as the OLB, send him over to the spread and have Atkins run up to rush the right tackle as Jenkins and Herrera shift over to middle, and Smith out to where Jenkins was. Show them a 3-4 then shift into a 4-2-5 and if they snap it quick enough, Atkins gets a running start on their super shitty right tackle.

“If we come out and beat Georgia, not just beat ‘em but beat the mess out of ‘em like we should, I don’t see no problems in getting started in the right direction. I don’t have disrespect for them or for nobody else, I just believe we can be just the kind of team we want to be, the talent is here, we know how to win.”

-Sammy Watkins
He had 700 yards receiving last year, despite being suspended for 2 games.

Sammy Watkins versus Conner Norman. Isn't Norman the last healthy defensive back?

Going to be ugly unless the magic healing potions start working on the UGA DB's this week.

As it is, if things get desperate enough, bet we'll see Malcom Mitchell out there at times in the secondary. You know that Grantham has to be thinking about that now.

Wait...didn't Mitchell have some knee swelling today?

AJC said: "All-star flanker Malcolm Mitchell was not on the field, though the reason for his absence is unknown."

The Columbus blog said it was knee swelling but cause and how serious wasn't specified. Hopefully nothing major......

42-35 more like it. Maybe even 47-42 because the walk-on kicker is probably going to miss some PAT's...

Figure Watkins catches at least 3 TDs himself, the Clemson QB probably gets at least one running.

At this point, wouldn't feel too comfortable in this game unless we could score 50+

UGA defense young and unproven...until proven otherwise..

taternet arcticle on DL's preparation for UGA

Basically he said he's watching our game for last year and looking to try to copy that performance.

Logical thing to do! But UGA offensive line is in a different place now than at start of last season. And I'm sure UGA has thought a long time about what went wrong in that game and will do everything possible to counter it. Last year, UGA offense -- from the line to the freshmen backs -- kind of choked in the face of the early pressure and the environment. They may be better prepared this time.

To be honest, I'm more worried about UGA's defense getting toasted on busted coverages and other freshmen mistakes...
