My neighbor's 13 year old daughter and their big JBL got to dominate the pool music today but I did get in some Doobie Brothers Greatest Hits. Side A with less Michael McDonald.

JBL is the dominant force in the bluetooth speaker market. They existed prior to bluetooth technology but mainly in PA (public address) systems. When the bluetooth tech came out, they jumped on it and have cornered the market on quality speakers.
Are there better? Yes. Are there worse? Yes. But JBL is the standard, for bluetooth speakers.

JBL was James Lansing the audio engineer who headed Altec Lansing before he formed JBL. Both Altec Lansing and JBL were know for the highest quality studio monitors used by recording studios. I still use the JBL L166 Horizons that I bought in 1977 from Hifi Buys. They still rock loud and clear.
