Here's what you may not understand. UGA is not going to have a championship team every year. We're not going to win a championship most years either, and neither is anybody else unless they can outbid the field for talent on a very regular basis. Even then winning a championship is difficult. If UGA can field a talented, well-coached team that can hold their own with anybody on any given Saturday, make the playoffs most years, then the odds are that we'll eventually win another national championship. When we do that, we'll probably still lose a game or two along the way.

Some fans think they have the solution for every perceived problem, hire a new coach and it will all fall into place. It's a simplistic thought process because building and developing a championship roster is harder than ever. As rosters become less stable, coaching stability is still important, maybe more than ever. You don't get rid of good coaches because fans think something looks clunky, not when you're still winning at a high level. Everybody looks clunky from one week (or one year) to the next. Adding the coaching carousel to the player carousel is not a formula for consistent success, flash in the pan teams notwithstanding.
