Swift gonna need someone to block for him

Detroit doesn't seem to understand that. Their OL draft picks and trades haven't panned out and RBs alone can't do anything without them.

Stafford needs help too

CEH gets KC. Swift relegated to Detroit. Not ideal for him

Stafford has needed help for years. He's put up prolific numbers while trying to carry that wretched franchise on his back with no running game to speak of, mediocre OL even in the best of times, a defense that can't hold a lead longer than 5 minutes, and no elite receivers since Calvin Johnson. All the while, he's been through 3 head coaches and 3 coordinators.

So our QB and best RB from last season were apparently overrated.

How do you figure that?
The perception is that we are the perennial underachieving football program yet our starting QB from the last 3 seasons isn't drafted and our starting RB from last season goes as the #35 pick to Detroit so they were definitely overrated. In addition, our best players who aren't overrated have often been injured or not on the field for various other reasons as such I think our underachievement perception is a misconception.
Bottom line: Our recruiting rankings are not equal to the actual product we have been putting on the field

Swift was the 2nd running back drafted. I wouldn’t call him over rated.

Swift was the second back taken in the draft and it was only a few spots after the first. Not really overrated when the position just wasn’t as highly valued as others (like offensive tackle).

The 35th pick for a RB is pretty damn high. RBs aren't valued like they once were. Hell, the first RB wasn't taken until the 32nd pick.
As for Fromm, he is what he is. He's a gamer manager with limited physical skills and an average arm, and that's not what the NFL is looking for, at least not with a higher draft pick. We've known this for a while. I wish the best for Fromm, but I see his career going like David Green and Aaron Murray's.

Fair enough. I concede your point but I still think Swift was overrated. Let me put it this way: Swift is no Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb or Sony Michel.

So, he was overrated because you think he isn’t as good as 3 other UGA backs? Okay.

RB going 35 overall is very high for that position.
