I should clarify, I'm not upset with him or what he said, I'm upset with all the waterheads that said "Stetson Bennett will never win a big game" or that wanted him not to come back after winning the natty and talked shite to anyone who tried to tell them they were being irrational or the people still today that day he's just a system QB who should go sell insurance instead of pursue the next level.
Hopefully, people do a lot of soul searching before the next time they trash some college kids on social media.

A classier thing might have been to say "To all those that supported me, my family, my coaches, my team mates, and some of the Dawg Nation, Thank you, it means the world to me and I wouldn't be where I am without you. To the others, two rings baby. Two." Then drop the mic.
But he's never been known as a media guy and he has already checked out. He did interact positively with fans and signed thing after thing after thing in the parade, but any reporter that approached him got cold frick-offed.

It was really disappointing. He should have been a lot more specific if he was going to take a shot at the media. He was really vague when he said "y'all". Is he referring to the fans and media or just the media? The guy is a legend now and hopefully he will lose some of the attitude and resentment.

frick the media. Some people use the media to help themselves and they will worship it. Some people help themselves despite media bullshite. Nobody is obligated to give a single frick about the media. Media is accustomed to everyone worshiping them and hoping to get a moment on camera, and when someone doesn't give a frick, media assumes there's something wrong with that person. Media thinks much more of itself than regular people do. Media thinks it is some kind of 4th branch of government. They actually believe this. I was taught this in the 90's at Grady J-school at UGA. They literally believe they control the world. Anyone that snubs them is a bad guy. You must suck up to them or else.

In this context, his comments could definitely be directed to the malcontent media types who did take every available opportunity to take a megaphone to the doubters' narrative. Even the ones on the UGA beat.

I think it's only vague because Shockley is also part of Dawgnation and he was asked to address Dawgnation.
