I heard on a podcast that Stetson has a chance to throw for 200 yards in his 4th straight game. That is something that Jake Fromm never did and something that a UGA QB hasnt done since Aaron Murray 2013.

We have the talent at the receiver position. Can the mailman deliver a decent game and get over 200?

To keep it only about Bama, Fromm did throw for 300 back in 2018 for 3 TDs. And he got 200 yards back in 2017. But Fromm never could put together a string of those games in a row against SEC competition.

That's crazy to think about. 200 yards is honestly a pretty low bar for a college QB in modern football. If we drop that number to 175 would Fromm have had 4 or more consecutive?

Ask Miss State about new man ball...

You have to be able to run the ball, if for nothing else to shorten a game.

Yeah but they don't play football, they're just engaging in random chaos when they happen to all be on the field at the same time.

Correct. Why do you think Spurrier changed up his offense later on? You have to have a running game to, as pointed out, help burn clock and shorten the game as well as limit opponent possessions.

I think he can. Bama defense isnt like what it has been in the past. He has a lot of talent around him

I glanced at 2019.
Fromm had 4 games in a row over 187 (Notre Dame game). Arkansas, Tennessee, and South Carolina all had 279 or more yards, but the Notre Dame game was sandwiched in between. For the record, he had 51 pass attempts against South Carooina to get 295.

He didnt exceed 175 in any other 4 game stretch in 2019.

Fromm had a 5 game stretch over 185 (missouri 260, tennessee 185, vandy 276, lsu 209 on 34 attempts, ake florida 240).

He didnt exceed 175 in any other 4 game stretch in 2018 (hardly threw at all down the stretch. 20 or fewer attempts in the last 4 games of the season. Then 39 against Bama for 301 yards and 34 attempts against texas for 212).

Fromm finished the 2017 season with 4 games over 183. 224 @ tech, 183 against Auburn in SECCG, 210 against oklahoma in rose, and 233 against bama on 32 attempts in NCG.
Fromm averaged 160 ypg in the first 11 games of the 2017 season.

Good stats. Fromm wasn't putting up big passing numbers but not for lack of ability. He was asked to be a game manager for an offense that was built to grind yards and wear down defenses while limiting turnovers. He did that very well.

We are largely doing the same at this point with Monken. Power run, pass enough to make the defense guess a little.

I agree with that.

That is absolutely debatable.
Fromm's numbers look bad to awful the more he threw in a game.
He may have been a game manager because that is the role where he doesnt negatively affect games.

Fromm was great at taking what defenses give. But to put more on fromm meant that he had to create opportunities for himself and his receivers. And that is where he struggled.
