Special Teams

With so many punts, I was sure someone was going to fumble.

McKenzie was just about to take it to the house on his return.

I was extremely satisfied with the ST play today. The last several years have been cringe-inducing every punt or kickoff.

The kick coverage was nice and we pinned them deep several times. No fumbles, a few more yards on punts, and Gurley's return were just great to watch.

A+ for ST tonight. Lilly and Ekeler did a bang up job. Reggie Davis had some solid returns to advance field position a bit, Gurley goes without saying, and the coverage teams were stellar. The Barber/Erickson combo on punts was completely lights out and Morgan kicked pretty well (would have liked to have seen a few more kicks out of the end one, but given the speed we're using on KO coverage I guess hedging your bet on the shorter kickoffs isn't as bad this year as it has been in the past.
