With all of the talk this year about our struggles on O and our current underdog status for the SECCG, I have reflected on years past.

I remember not too long ago when I considered a successful season as beating at least two of our three rivals (UF, Auburn and GT). And I remember even longer ago when just beating UF would define a successful season for me, even if we lost 5 games.

Now, giving Kirby a pass on this freshman coaching year, we are 3-0 against UF, 3-1 against Auburn, and 3-0 against GT. We have won the East for three years in a row, won the SEC once, and almost won a Natty.

This year, we have another chance to win the SEC and another chance to be in the playoffs.

Yes, the loss to USCe was embarrassing, but it was 4 turnovers, which is hard to overcome. And the loss the LSU last year was not a good game. But overall, we are wayyyy ahead of where we were not too long ago.

So here is the dream...We beat LSU and win the SEC against all the public opinion that LSU is so great. We make it to the national championship game again. And we beat a Justin Fields lead team for the championship, hopefully ending the endless stream of Fields threads that keep popping up.

Then, Fromm returns for his Senior year!

This seems like a lock to me at this point. Jake wants a better statistical final season.

We're in one of the greatest 3 year runs in the history of our program.

The run from 1980-1982 was started by a national title and then 2 years more years of getting super close.

What if we see something similar to that run, but in reverse? 2 years of heartbreak, and then 1 Natty to rule them all.

He will have a more experienced group of receivers next year so he would likely have a much better statistical year.
