I liked that we finally used the pistol. I think we should use Lynch and RSIV as H-backs whenever we use the pistol. This should help diversify our playcalling whenever we go into that formation.

Sadly, that would've probably been a penalty nowadays...

FWIW.... Saw over on the senators site...

quote:

Georgia’s defense has given up eight big plays in its first three games. Here’s how that breaks down: those eight plays have yielded 333 yards, or 41.6 yards a play; the other 213 plays run so far against Georgia’s defense have averaged 3.3 yards.

Get 'tree & fudge back hopefully we can cut down on the big play...

-in all 3 games we've made great halftime adjustments, which is fine. But when are we gonna STOP THE DAMN SLANT!? mizzou and fau especially had reasonable success throwing 7 yard slants on us for 30 minutes, it's maddening.

Slants are hard to stop unless you are looking for it and drop a LB back in front of the WR. Otherwise, the WR will always have inside position and a tall and accurate QB can drill it in there every time. The key is limiting yards after the catch with punishing tackles. Like any short pass in traffic, these are pretty high risk passes. Any off target passes or just a bobble by the receiver and you could be looking at a pick 6.
