How do we stack up against Kentucky? I know that they started the season strong and beat USCe, but I feel like they have regressed a bit with losses to UF and Ole Miss (both bad teams). They also gave up 21 points to Vandy.

I think it will be similar to the USCe, low scoring battle. I just hope we shake off the hangover early and get it rolling.

Undefeated @home on the line, national title chances on the line, last game for the seniors...a lot going on Saturday.

Also, do we wear black ? I think this senior class has earned it imo.

I think we blow them out. The team will be embarrassed and mad about this past week. You will see them play under more control, and with a purpose. They know a big game will keep them in playoff conversation, and they also know the chances were severely damaged last week. We know longer have any wiggle room.

Look for us to beat them by 3-4 TD's and the rant saying we beat a bad team, and can't play against a good team.

I would guess probably the opposite. If they're going to hang at all, it's likely to be because they have success running the ball (perhaps via wildcat).

Here is where they stack up relative to other SEC schools in Connelly's five factors:

If we struggle to score at a pretty good clip against them, that will not bode well for Atlanta IMO. Both Kentucky and Ga Tech are pretty average at best defenses... offensively, we should be able to treat these as tune up games to help fix some of the problems we had against Auburn.

Defensively, I'd say we are going to need improved line play and discipline overall... set the edge, don't over pursue, etc. Otherwise, Snell likely has a lot of success running the ball. Basically... whatever the gameplan was against Auburn on the front 7... scrap that.

The upside, Kentucky doesn't have the athletes on the LOS to simply push us around... if we struggle on the LOS in this game, it's more than a symptom of getting beat by a better team and we'd be simply getting out schemed/coached.

Unsure on black... you'd think maybe... Kirby's answer earlier this week was almost overly non-committal. "I don't know anything about jersey colors... I assume we'd wear red... we are at home and we always wear red at home..." - something to that effect. Would be a funny slow play if blackout is in the cards.

Ya cause I thought I read that he was taking the stigma off the black jerseys and saying it was :one of our colors" and o wear them once a year.

I'd like to see the black jerseys just because they look so sweet lol

They're going to play mad as hell, I'd wager. If Kirby pusses out on the black jerseys because of last week, his head game is shakier than I thought.
