Place is a ghost town after a hell of a win.
Mizzou is good. We didn’t whoop their arse but we won. I bet they win out too.

I hate to go there, but we probably cover the spread with a good officiating crew. But I have nothing but respect for Mizzou, they came to play and left it all out on the field.

We played a good, experienced team with a good game plan. They came to Athens and got after us. They swung for the fences and we took their shots and we won. OL has to get better getting pushes in the run game and our defense has to start wrapping up and tackling better.

Their first TD the re°ceiver pushed off, then our player plays perfect defense, and they throw a flag. Then their guy hops on our receivers back, no flag.
They were all over the place on what DPI was.

This is it exactly. There were a few others as well… but I have no doubt we cover that spread without this BS.

We will get drug by Bama if our D plays like that. We need another hammer running back. Mustard does his job but Mizzou basically had the equivalent of Cash Jones run our defense in the ground.

Schroeder does avg 90 yards and 1 TD per game rushing

That little running back is a son of bitch, couldn't ever get him on first contact.

Dude had to be covered in lube

Our DL men seemed to be locked up by their OL and unable to maintain that position defense we play.

There was a lot of holding during that game. I refuse to believe we totally forget how to defend the run that quickly. Credit their RB though. He was tough as shite. Reminded me of Brendan Douglas a little.

That thought crossed my mind, with both him and their QB, multiple times they were wrapped up and just slipped right through the tackles, like Eli has some space age nasa polymer shite on their pants and waists that nobody knows about yet, I don't recall ever seeing so many wrap ups that simply got loose. We need whatever that shite is, hopefully now that the game is over Eli will share the secret sauce with Kirby.

Rewatching highlights right now.
The run where cook rolled out and ran to the first down marker. It looked like he was gona pull up and either slide or go out of bounds. Then he kept running. Almost looked like a fake slide to me on the replays. Kinda cheap if you ask me. Oh well still beat ‘em.

If a QB fakes a slide one time during a game, I believe the defense should take his head off the next time he slides. Take the 15 yard penalty and absolutely annihilate him. Fake slides are one of the cheapest plays in the sport and it's a QB taking advantage of too many rules in place to protect him as is.

There's a rule against it, the refs are supposed to call him down as soon as he begins to initiate the slide, not when he actually goes down. Refs simply missed the call.

Did he "fake slide" though? Or just pull up? I remember thinking he was pulling up to step out of bounds (don't remember his acting as if he were going to slide, and he was on the sidelines) and the defense kind of pulled up also, so Cook just decided to start back running.
I will need to see the replay.

Just one of many they missed. These officials couldn't see a face mask or a hold by Mizzou all game.

Then you absolutely clock his arse the next time he heads towards the sidelines. QBs taking advantage of rules designed to overprotect them should be punished for it.
Defensive players have to pull up when the QB heads out of bounds because if they breathe near him once he crosses the white, they get a 15 yard penalty.

I also would need to see the replay, but in real time I thought he initiated a slide with his body language.
