Yes they did, and have every year. Their job is to select the 4 most deserving teams; whatever happens after that is irrelevant to the topic. If you're advocating that bama should have been in because they would have provided a better game, then whays the point of the regular season if you're gonna put in a 2 loss non division winner with zero quality wins?

It's also funny that people today are saying the committee is wrong when 9 days ago they were saying it was perfect bc we had 2 all timer semifinal games

Is everyone going to keep the same lame arse argument "The CFP Committee got it wrong" anytime a better team shows out and demolishes the other team?

Honestly, these threads are just retarded because a game wasnt decided on the final play of the game.

Who else should have made it in? A 2 loss Bama? UT that got embarrassed by SC? USCw that was one of the most overrated teams in the Top 10?

CFPC cant help when teams that did everything to make it to the last dance didnt show up to play.

Nobody. This year and last year prove that a 2 team BCS was the correct way.

Okay. Who is the 2nd team? Nobody is putting in Ohio State over the Michigan team that rolled them.

Pretty sure we don’t make it in in 2021 under a 2 team BCS. Weren’t we #3 after losing in the SECCG?

Just my opinion. The 12 team playoff will allow the 4 best teams to rise to the top. Sure, you might get a fluke conference champ but the byes will go to the 4 highest seeded conference champs which should weed out the fluke from getting a bye and make their path to the finals much more difficult. Also, the teams that are good but had a bad game won't be eliminated by the regular season or conference champ loss. There will be blowouts in the early round for sure but the quarterfinals, semis and finals should see better overall games.

I don't see any evidence to support that.
We will see, I gguess.

If a 5th through 12th ranked team doesn't win a natty in 5 years, the playoff is an utter failure.
