where all built more on the portal than recruiting. I'm know Kirby is well aware of the portal metrics, going to interesting to watch over next few weeks. As an old fan, I would be a bit concerned about the change in college football from amateur to simi-professional, over the long term. Lot of billionaires that can't get close to NFL franchise or going to try and buy a college team. Folks may laugh at that, but it's just a matter of time.

Isn’t it the main reason why Saban retired?

Interesting not compelling. Recruits v portal doesn't matter when you have a player that goes God mode channeling Joe Burrow circa 2019 vs UGA. It was as if Chambliss was literally possessed for a stretch. That blind ball in the back of the end zone when the WR wasn't there only to have him pivot like a move under the rim and the ball was on him was insane. His scramble 20 yards behind the LOS only to convert the 1st down? The football gods had spoken at that point. I thought we still had a chance to win it but dayum. That was an inspired performance by Trinidad.

Chas Chambliss played a full 4 years in college and just finished his rookie year in the NFL. He is still younger than Trinidad Chambliss and Trinidad is trying for yet another year. UGA was on the benefitting end of this with Stetson but I still hate all these 6-7 year players. 23-27 year olds should dominate 18-21 year olds. It’s really not hard to figure out. NCAA has no teeth though so they will keep granting additional years of
eligibility.
