re: SEC About To Move To A Conference Only Schedule
I get all that but I just wanna see our athletes in our secondary spread out and defending the pass on virtually every snap.

Leach's teams have historically struggled in the first year he's there. It takes time to get comfortable running it.

Took longer than that at WSU.

Wonder if that means we open up with Bama also no Tech this season

When both teams have inexperience key players on O the advantage goes to the better Defense.

While that's not to say we wouldn't be in better shape after a few warm-up games (after all it's still a Bama D), I don't think beating them early is out of the question.

If this tweet is right LINK then McGarity willingly voted to nix the GT game to add to his pile of god awful decisions

I'm hardly a McGarity fan but I have no problem not playing GT.

We need to play the exact number of games as everyone else in the SEC.

The game last year was unbelievably costly and meant nothing.

FWIW wouldn't of mattered how we voted. It was easier to get out of all the cupcake buyouts with a conference only schedule. Like most things, it was all about money, and most SEC schools don't have the financial reserve that UGA has. Majority of SEC schools don't have a permanent ACC rival either. Will be touted as "flexibility", but it's about money.
