If that was true, and it's actually more of a childish self serving interpretation than a statement of fact, I'd still say good for CMR. He needed to go to a program where he was appreciated for being a good man and a good coach. I hope he brings some respectability to his alma mater and think he has a decent chance of it.
As for UGA, we deserved what we got no matter why it transpired. Maybe in another decade or so, some rational adults will be in charge and the program will make another positive turn. Til then, I suppose we can expect these type of decisions that reflect the football message board mentality.

People hanging on to Richt are about as bad as Hilary voters.

hanging on to Richt
There's a difference between "hanging on", and recognizing stupidity. Richt is gone and I wish him well, but I'm not stupid enough to blame what's happening now on him. The folks "hanging on" are the ones who continually insult Richt's legacy in order to excuse their own stupidity. Those folks will be around for a long time to come, hanging on to their Richt bashing, because UGA's football descent is just beginning.

So if I say our OL recruiting has been 2nd tier the last several years, that means I'm insulting Richt's legacy to excuse my own stupidity?
Or, if I say that having only 65 scholarship players is stupid roster management, then I'm just insulting Richt's legacy to excuse my own stupidity?

In this case you're mainly stupid for everything you typed in the OP. Unfortunately, that's not the extent of it, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because I'm not even sure you're a UGA fan.

And nobody, BUT NOBODY, appreciates "a good man" like Da U!
