Wilkerson is listed at 171.

It's better than not having gained those 9 pounds

True. So any guesses as to how the secondary looks?

I guess this means the top 4 corners would/will be Swann, Fenteng, Parrish, and Dawson. With Green at nickle?

Battle played a combination SS/LB and did fairly well. Just because Wilkerson doesn't have prototypical safety size doesn't mean he won't do well.

I'm in wait-and-see mode. There will be growing pains, but probably some flashes of really good play. Pretty typical of young players. We just have to hope they can be OK overall and the front seven helps them out.

Word. I think I'm more worried about the corners than the safeties at this point. Seems like Pruitt et al are banking on Parrish and Fenteng playing early.

Pruitt knows a sh*tload more than I do though so....

I already said my point, moron.

Radi meant to say Damien Swann and it was autocorrected to Reggie Wilkerson because he was typing on a fricking droid.

Jesus fricking Christ, I don't know how much more of this bullshite I can handle. I might have to start my own site.

With this move is it safe to say that Pruitt thinks Tramel Terry is not ready to contribute at safety right now?

I dont think so.

The lineup in august probably wont match what we have in october.

Get used to the movement because this is just the beginning, still.

Yea I guess so, I just really like the kid and hope he can contribute. Pruitt changed a lot while at FSU too. He really didn't have things rolling until after that Boston College game.

No. This has more to do with Wilkerson and his speed, or lack of it. He simply can't hang with the WRs at this level like he needs to. I was told that by some UF fans when we offered him and I asked why they hadn't. I suppose they had a point, or at least Pruitt agrees. He'll be a fantastic free safety against the pass, though.

We are not going to have a free and strong safety by any defined position for what that is worth.

Roles are blending. Safeties are going to be asked to bump and run. They will be asked to play man-zone. They are going to be asked to be an effective blitzer (even if it is just to stuff/chase down the run).

I think we just need bodies at safety.

Your point was the average weight of NFL safeties. Cool. Again, what's that have to do with Wilkerson?

Cool. I guess.

An average player who was a pretty integral part of UGA's last SECC team. He absolutely killed it against LSU in 2004, put up 71 tackles in '05 (though he's best remembered for one bad play), and we all remember what he did against Auburn in '06.

I'd take a career like that from any of the safeties at this point - but at the same time, I get what you're saying. He wasn't Thomas Davis or or Sean Jones.
