Ratledge playing center?

Some 'insiders' on another forum mentioned that Tate was playing center. Maybe just a 'cross-training' thing or let's hope that Wilson isn't injured.
I would assume Morris is filling in at his OG spot. Or maybe Calhoun. I seen one depth chart that had him 2nd team behind Ratledge. Anyway, if any of you insider operatives know any more, we're all ears...??

According to reports from the somewhat open practice on Sunday, Ratledge filled in at center with Wilson nursing a mild injury. Morris was the right guard.

On Tate's podcast this Spring he said he was cross training at Center, and talked about how hard it is, how centers don't get enough respect for being the "QB" of the OL.
It's not really breaking news that he's been cross-training at the position. If he's expected to start at the position, that's a different story.

Nice to have Morris as “backup”

A few months back, Malachi Toliver mentioned to me that he was going to be trained at Center as well.
Never hurts to have additional options.

If Wilson had to come out Ratledge would slide over with Morris /Calhoun coming in. Next option would be Bobo.

Is Calhoun really on par with Morris? It’s often stated that Morris and Fairchild are almost interchangeable but I can’t see Calhoun already being at Fairchild’s level. Also I thought I remembered Calhoun had a long way to go to get his body into UGA football shape once he got to Athens.

Yes. Calhoun is the most ready and next in line at G behind Morris.

I haven't had this big of a crush on an obscure Georgia backup in a long time. Or any Georgia offensive linemen, for that matter.
Seeing Morris pulling and/or blocking 5-7 yards down the field with a head of steam is magical!
